I built this kick ass sword from cardboard, a bamboo pole, and some metalic duct tape for a convention last month. There was only one thing missing... a counterbalance. I quickly through one together from a plastic cup, some rocks, and some more duct tape today, for the fun of it... and through some miracle, its now perfectly balanced, as demonstrated on the left.
The right hand photo is a bad shot taken in the mirror, meant to show the size of the sword... its a full 7 feet tall with the counterbalance, and thus perfect for me to hold like that... Which allowed me to discover I have short arms.
The weapon as a whole weighs just over 8 lbs now... If it were really cast of metal, it'd be more like 200. No wonder they call it a heavy blade.
heeee.
I'd like to see ya lift a metal cast sword that big. :-p

Don't get in my way, I've got a score to settle. The blood I hunt is stain enough on my hands and I don't wish to add yours to it. Now move, insolent dog, lest your name be added to my list of murders.
